On the occasion of the Centenary Celebration of Arighnar Anna, the Reserve Bank of India has brought out gold colour Five Rupee coins and released in the RBI premises, Hyderabad on 4-02-2010.
The Deputy Governor of R.B.I, Dr. Subir Gokarn released the coin. RBI has informed and requested the General Secretary of our Tamil Sangam to receive the first coin.
The General Secreary Dr.N.Krupanandam, the Joint Secretary Thiru A.M. Francis, and the Treasurer Thiru Sai Kaanth received the coins. It is really an honour to our Sangam and also shows the recognition given to our sangam.
